Manthoppu Family Restaurant - Kerala restaurant in Kothamangalam, Eramalloor - Ernakulam, India

I went to this Manthoppu restaurant which is near odakally. Had sweet kallu which was refrigerated . Ordered beef fry and chicken curry to go with Kerala parothas Chicken curry was average but beef fry was good. Parotha also was good. Ambience is good and shows with pictorial description how kallu is tapped. Overall happy.

Manthoppu Family Restaurant left me impressed with their wide range of seafood options. However, I must warn you, their dishes were hotter than a chili-eating competition !!

The food was not up to the mark. Non-Veg dishes were tasteless disasters. There is parking space and adequate seating but it's mostly deserted due to poor food. The hotel appears to have switched owners, because the quality doesn't match the older reviews. Chemmen roast was just boiled Prawns dipped in Chilli water. Beef fry tasted strongly of greasy oil. Rice and side dishes were bland. The only ok item was the fresh lime.

Meals are really good but the price not expected this much. They don't have parcking space not much.!!

Absolutely loved this place. Small place on the road with the most amazing food. Service time is 15 seconds and that buttermilk was something different. Loved everything about this place and maybe come back here again. All our plates were clean after we were done eating as seen from the pictures.

Very very bad experience. Not even a single item is good. Nothing is available and they trying to sell out the remaining items. Food is cold and not tasty at all.

Visited 2 of their Restaurants. Both are on Munnar route from Kothamangalam.The old one had always been a favourite. The taste sweet n chilled Toddy served in their special lab like containers still lingers in our tongues. Food is also great with so many shapp items like Meen thala curry, Beef / Chicken idichath, Rabbit roast, sea fud items, Pork fry etc. Lunch side dishes are also good. Serving of Toddy was stopped for some time but now available again. Taste of toddy has gone down though. Great place to visit with Friends and Family.

Had lunch from there. First thing I would like to mention is about their excellent service. Even in crowded situation, they will manage and make us happy. Food is also really good and price is reasonable. Meals served with 3 or 4 side dishes and 2 main curry will be there. Appam, kappa, kadala are really good and mouth watering Environment is also give us relaxation
