I didn't know about this place that it serves such amazing chinese. Really a lovely place for having some me time or for business meetings. It made me feel so relaxed. Ambience was very calm. The taste of the food was worth the price. Prices of the items in the menu were quite reasonable. Service was prompt and staff's behaviour was polite. The best thing I liked is, it wasn't crowded like most Chinese restaurants. I must say I had a great time here. What we ordered: Mixed chowmein. Drums of heaven. Dried chilli chicken. Must visit.

This review is for Manthan Songhai (the door to the left when you stand facing towards the restaurant) For starters we ordered: Bamboo fish - 6 big pieces. Rs. 358 Absolutely delicious, do try this. Fish was tender and fresh and the sauce was to die for. They'll make this according to your preference, gravy or dry. We ordered it without gravy. Drums of heaven- 6 pieces. Rs. 200. Again, delicious. Songhai special chicken- 10 pieces pieces. Rs. 344. Perfectly cooked and moist chicken pieces. Nice smoky, charred onions. Nothing to dislike. However, after the delicious bamboo fish and the drums of heaven, it tasted okay-ish. You can skip this one if you wish. For mains, we ordered: Mixed Fried Rice- Rs. 216. Fabulously made. Filled with eggs, chicken, prawns. Not skimpy at all. Mixed Hakka Noodles and Chicken Hakka Noodles- Rs. 216 and Rs. 176. Tasted delicious, both of them. Smoky and filled with eggs, chicken, and shrimp. Again, they didn't skimp at all. Garlic Chicken- Rs. 176. Good quantity for the price. Don't expect big chunks, it was made with small pieces. Juicy chicken but the gravy was sweeter than expected. Our server had told us that the gravy would be on the sweeter side, but we hadn't expected this much. It still tasted okay but a bit bland. Fish Manchurian- Rs. 314. Quantity was good. Numerous small pieces. Tasted decent. The sauce was a bit bland but the fish was very soft and tender. Rs. 2234 (including a chicken clear soup Rs. 126 and two aereated drinks, not mentioned above. Didn't try the soup, so cannot give an opinion) for 5 people. The quantity was more than sufficient for us and we were stuffed! The ambience is rather pleasing and the place is usually empty. The service is a bit slow but the staff is courteous. Booze prices are reasonable as well.
