Ancient watch tower with old defence system. This watch tower is if 13th century built by King sarafoji and gifted to nepolean. The area is quite and small children park available. Beach water is not clean to bath just good for viewing and photos. We can buy fresh fishes from nearby market and fisherman's. The watch tower is closed partially two floors can be claimed. Entry rupees 5 and camera fee applicable. Parking fee too which is waste as open parking only.
Visited Manora Pakka Spot But No rush of peoples... Light out Boating and a cafe available to enjoy... Paid Parking and more... The Manora fort is situated 20 km (12 mi) away from Pattukottai,Tamil Nadu, India and 60 km (37 mi) away from Thanjavur. The fort was built by Marathas ruler Serfoji 2 in 1814-1815 to commemorate the successful advance of the British over Napolean Bonapart. It is an eight-storeyed, Hexagoball tower, which is 23 m high overlooking the Bay of Bengal . The fort derives its name Manora, from the word Minaret
Yes there is boating, but not worth it. A small shop for snacks. A monument built by someone for something but looks different. It has got smaller cabins and looks like an indecent lover's park inside, with boys and girls sitting in pairs. Beach is not maintained too, with garbage everywhere.
This place has nice park ( children play ground). Boating available here.
Visited Manora Beach today. Didn't have much information about the place, so just planned for a visit of a few hours. But it turned out to be insufficient. Started with a 30 min boat ride. Then spent some good time on the beach. Pretty shallow waters and gentle waves. And then went to the Manora tower, which has ample opportunities for photos and selfies and the children's park. Good place to visit with kids, family, and also as a group of friends. Should plan to spend at least half a day. Minimal food optoon availanle. There is a small tea shop at the place which serves tea and snacks. Nothing much beyond that.
A simple small coastal Village with boating facility (only one boat was available when I visited)..there was a canteen too but both were closed as it was Pongal day.. no details were displayed about boating hours except the amount..
One of the best beach to visit near katumavadi area. Try boat ride and it will take 20 mins for 100rs, worth for the money
place for sea lovers , good boating experience... Preferred time is morning before 11am and evening 3-5:30 Pm... Will love it
