Really great adventure to be on peak of mountain with clear view . Amazing place to visit , trekking too.pls note pics capturing are not allowed in monkey point as area comes under containment zone , attached pics reflects the beauty and sight seeing of other parts of Kasauli. Really a must visit place to enjoy the beautiful evening in mountains.
A beautiful place on top of the highest peak at Kasuali. It is actually situated inside the Air Force Station. As such cameras, mobile phones & other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the premises. The peak has a Temple devoted to Hindu Monkey God Lord Hanuman. It's known as Shree Sanjeevani Hanuman Mandir. The myth of this temple is that when Lord Hanuman was flying with the Sanjeevani hill to Lanka to treat Lakshmana, his leg touched the peak of this hill which is about 6600ft abv sea level.. and hence it's a very revered place of worship. Lots of steps needs to be climbed to reach the top. Besides Hanuman, the temple has Idols of, Lord Ganesha, Shiv Ling, Lord Rama, Sita, Laksman. The view from the top is breathtaking & one forgets all the effort it took to reach the top. A must visit place in Kasuali.
Great experience !!! Must visit places near Chandigarh hardly 2hr ride by bike.view is awesome.kasouli is a very nice place having monkey point church, street where u can do shopping food is also very tasty.
This is a Hanuman temple at a height. A helipad has been built here. People believe that when lord Hanuman was going to get sanjivani buti for fainted Laxman during the war between lord Rama and Ravana. Hanuman's leg touched the mountain, where the shape of his foot was built. The temple built on the mountain is like Hanuman's foot. Now, kasauli is the air force station so, no mobile is allowed at this place. The Air force team looks after the place.
Except for a Lord Hanuman Temple and a helipad there is nothing there. You cannot take mobile phone there and also many items are not allowed. Permission and all takes approx 10 mins. Then you start climbing up the stairs, a couple of tuc shops to cater your thirst and hunger. Its not a must visit place as there are many other scenic beauty spots you can enjoy.
It's a much hyped spot in Kausauli (Himachal Pradesh). Just a temple dedicated to lord Hunuman. It is said while fetching famous Sanjivani booti he placed his foot on the hill top on the way to Lanka. Smart phones, watches and electronic gadgets are not allowed as it is a restricted area under IAF. Nothing much to do at the top. Rhesus monkeys are quite a menace en route to the temple. Private vehicles are not allowed and tourists taxis charge an exorbitant amount. About 04 km single way road is not good. Not recommended to people with small kids. Most important photography is not allowed.
Nice place to visit.. such a pleasant atmosphere but everything in this place is overpriced. Try not to buy things here because all the products are overpriced and costly. Just enjoy the view and make your day happy
This place is at Hanumanji temple in Kasauli. You'll have to enter a cantonment area with proper checking, ID proof and visitor ID card. Phones, purses, smart watch and other electronic items are prohibited inside the area, you'll have to submit them in the locker room outside. There is a ticket for going inside and you'll have to pay separately for locker room. It's a peaceful place and you can trek to the temple at the top.
