Serene Atmosphere in Uttarpara, Makhla, Maniktala, the pond is surrounded with well planned sitting arrangement and trees. The four corners of the pond have different temples like Shiva Temple, Hanuman Temple, Ramakrishna Paramhansa Statue, etc. The surrounding area of the pond also has a public Gym instruments. The area and club hosts Durga Puja and many others. Also having the Shrine of Manik Pir, from whom the name of the place is taken. Good place for view of Sunrise, sunset, Evening Adda and Bathing or swimming.
Very peaceful place
People are not cleaning the areas near by to pond. No tress planted in the bank and side of the pond. Pond must be much deeper and must have fishes if the management of the local club takes initiative of better natural resources.

Beautiful serene pond with nice ambience. However this is not a place for regular adda.!! Keep that in mind.
This is the calmest places I have ever seen,when the water of the pond reflects the entire sky,it looks preety soothing to me.in future,i would like to buy a property beside the pond.
