Mango Hill Pondicherry - Resort hotel in Bommayapalayam - Villupuram, India

So far it's the best from my list From welcoming the guest to checking out, They treat each and every guest as their own family guest and of course that's how a hospitality should be.. Very professional.. Mr.Surya provided us a very good service, he never forgets to keep smile on his face and the way he handles a guest is what makes you feel to visit their place again.. We stayed here for the long weekend and quite enjoyed ourselves. The hotel staff is very polite and good at their jobs. However, the hotel isn't well maintained. They need to update their rooms, the fixtures and paint need to be redone, the floors need to be polished and general pest control for the numerous bugs there are. Otherwise, food is decent, views are amazing and the pool is a very unique design.

The location and ambience is very good but you need to be super cautious about the staff who wouldn't miss a chance to loot you. We booked their superior room with balcony and other facilities in advance through the agoda app and had already made full payment. However, we were taken to a very basic room that wasn't even properly cleaned or didn't have any essential items like trash bin or clean pillow covers. When I casually asked the reception staff where their superior rooms are he said it's on the third floor. Upon saying i booked a superior room and got a basic one which is near the parking lot, they shamelessly said the one given to us was also their superior room. Upon insisting them to show me their rooms on the third floor, they finally budged and obviously it was very different from what we were given. Then, without any confrontation or apology they immediately said "if you want you can move to this room" as if it was a charity. The next morning while having breakfast, a staff member came to us and said breakfast for two will cost 900 rs but he will give us a deduction and make it 700. However, on our booking details it was mentioned 500 for two and when we showed that, again without any confrontation or apology, they said "okay then you can pay 500".

Most pathetic option in mango hill. They would rather chit chat than provide service to the guests. Our one night of stay was terrible. Zero service, zero hygiene, zero maintenance to the room & mind you, we booked the most expensive room on the property. They've swimming pool under maintenance so we had to hear the construction sounds since 7.00 am. We were traveling with a toddler & a senior citizen. They had a hell of a stay. Please make sure that such properties are blacklisted because they don't understand hospitality. We had payed for one night hence had to bare the consequences otherwise haven't paid a single penny to this dungeon of a place. There are so many great options available in white town. Don't waste your hard earned money in this place. Pondicherry is a beautiful town. Don't let such pathetic places ruon your vacation like ours.

A beautiful and well kept place. With a well-sized swimming pool. It's a lovely hotel very close to all the shops, restaurants . The staff was very kind a helpful. The receptionist, Partha, assisted me in a professional manner and everyone else was just very attentive. I would love to stay there again. Everything was great.

Location is situated near Auroville Road and it's close by to Auroville and around 15mins drive to Pondicherry city. The location is calm and quiet, far from the noises of the city or highway which is around 200mtrs from the hotel. The rooms were neat and well maintained and room service was quick and very satisfying. They have a huge beautiful pool near the lobby and have a small pool near the villas. The services provided by them was great. They have a breakfast buffet option, the items are minimum but the food was good. They have ample open car parking area inside the property. The trees in the parking area can be used as shades during afternoon times.

It was a pathetic experience being at Mango Hills. There is nothing called customer service there. The only one support was pool being opened till 9 pm on special ask as normal timings are till 6 pm. Where will you find such pools till 6pm. Rooms were proactively never cleaned, the guy came after multiple calls and just cleaned the floor and later the bed. They have strict timings for kitchen till 10:30 after which you are at god's mercy. That's to the fried rice which we were given as we called 1 St time at 10:25 pm . There are no cupboards , no tv, no fridge in the rooms. Not much well maintained as well - Thai Cottages. Not worth the price paid. Even on booking as triple occupancy, cups, mattress etc were given on calls. The outer part of the hotel is nice like the pool area and the breakfast area which I guess drives business. They really need to upgrade the service norms and understand the cultural gaps between North and South India.

Excellent hospitality and services offered by Ms.Divya. Wonderful room decorations by Mr.Sabarinathan. Enjoyed the food with great taste and quality. It was delicious. Overall, in - house staff services is satisfying and recommended for family and kids staycation.
