I had the opportunity to be a part of this great school during my higher secondary (Sc Stream) years (2005-2007). Still remember the teachings of Binoy Sarma Sir, Harun Sir, Tripti Madam etc. Our batch was one of the the luckiest batch because we could witness the centenary celebration of the school in the year 2005.

Absolutely amazing good teachers good student good infrastructure.... Miss my school days a lot... If u came to Mangaldai and haven't seen Mangaldai Govt. H. S. School, you saw nothing.. Do visit once because it's the oldest school in the entire Darrang district and was established by British in 1903. Proud to be a student of MGHSS..

MANGALDAI GOVT H.S. SCHOOL was established in 1903 and it is managed by the Department of Education. It is located in Urban area. It is located in KALAIGAON block of DARRANG district of Assam. The school consists of Grades from 6 to 12. The school is Co-educational and it doesn't have an attached pre-primary section. The school is Not Applicable in nature and is not using school building as a shift-school. Assamese is the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all weather road. In this school academic session starts in April. The school has Government building. It has got 9 classrooms for instructional purposes. All the classrooms are in good condition. It has 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities. The school has a separate room for Head master/Teacher. The school has Pucca boundary wall. The school has have electric connection. The source of Drinking Water in the school is Hand Pumps and it is functional. The school has 1 boys toilet and it is functional. and 1 girls toilet and it is functional. The school has a playground. The school has a library and has 50 books in its library. The school does not need ramp for disabled children to access classrooms. The school has 7 computers for teaching and learning purposes and all are functional. The school is not having a computer aided learning lab. The school is Provided and Prepared in School Premises providing mid-day meal.

One of the best school among all the the well knowns in Mangaldai. But they should increase quality of education and it will bring more glamour to the school. Being an ex-student. It feels good to recall those by gone days. Passed 8 years without any hassles. Missing those days, really. Proud to be a part of the School. MGHSS

One of the oldest schools of Assam. Its a fully government higher secondary school and the school section optu 10th is reserved for only only. There is separately another girls' government high school in the town also. This One of the most reputed school in the whole greater darrang district.

The most favourite place for me...
