Not a very popular place among the tourists. It is permanent water fall which is mostly popular among the couples and picknic people. It is a very unique water fall as it is located at very unusual and unexpected place. There is also a check gate operated by villagers. The place is apoiled by the picknic and there is lot of plastic waste including liquor bottles. The scenery is quite mesmerizing but plastic waste spoils the environment of the place.
Good place to visit with friends & family, it's good only during monsoon and need local ticket of 20 Rs.
We visited this place with family on mid of October. Navigation could be challenging in some parts. Our car with high ground clearance got hit in the turning from main road to the railway crossing road. Initially we navigated using another location wrongly pinned in Google. This link is the right one.
They collect small entry fee. Roads are good for transit except for the above mentioned place. Navigating through Google map could be tricky in few places. Suggest taking local help if tricky. We went to Tirathgarh waterfalls from here and roads shown by Google maps are not motorable for cars. Existing road in good condition not available in map but it took us to the tirathgarh waterfalls quickly.
Coming to this waterfalls, we have space for Parking [P] . Small paddy fields are there adjacent to waterfalls where water are flowing which is pleasing to watch. Kids can also take a dip if required. The waterflow is very less during our visit. So those who are planning to visit this place, go immediately after monsoon. Say early September.
There is no water, shops, change rooms etc. So carry those on your own. Since waterflow is very less, one can go down but it is bit risky since few patches are slippery. We went halfway down and returned due to drizzle which made the place even more slippery.
The Mandwa Waterfalls is a natural waterfall located in a place called Mandwa off the NH 16, around 31 kilometres away from Jagdalpur, in Bastar district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It is very close to Teerathgarh Falls and Kanger Dhara Falls.
