Mandira dam is located near Kansbahal in Sundergarh district, Odisha, India. It is built across Sankh river, located 16 km upstream from Mandira. The water from the dam is used for Rourkela Steel Plant.friends near to rourkela. It's a nice picnic spot also. Surrounded by water and greenery. The approach road to dam is a bit narrow for cars as it's go through villages. Dont expect any eatables nearby. Overall a nice place for one hr hangout at weekend but dont expect extraordinary
Very nice play.....Mandira dam is located near Kansbahal in Sundergarh district, Odisha, India. It is built across Sankh river, located 16 km upstream from Mandira. The water from the dam is used for Rourkela Steel Plant.[1][2] Construction of the dam began after 1957. The dam displaced 2400 families and only 843 were resettled...... The reservoir offers boating facilities for tourists and the nearest railway station is located in Kansbahal on the Howrah-Mumbai main line of South Eastern Railway. Rourkela is the closest junction station. The dam can be reached from Kansbahal and Rourkela by two wheeler, private cars, taxis, auto rickshaws and irregular bus service

That's a very nice place to visit there , It's a company owned dam hence no more facilities are till added. Electric Boating could be more beneficial for this place . Amusement and foodiing is also not as much there . Dam site seeing sitting area should be there . Lot of things can be done.
Nice Dam, road towards dam from high road is very bad. Not maintained for long time, having lots of speed breaker. Near view point parking place is there. No need to spend money for parking it's totally free. Fully greenary place. Picnic spot near dam are there. Picnic spot are clean and maintained nicely.
