Beautiful place and its calm. Trekking is pretty easy. But for me, its not the peacock temple or the mild trekking which made me excited. Its the mydala lake which is the one which made me excited. Exploring the lake by walking through it's side banks is a great Experience. It has several scenic spots.
Beautiful and mesmerizing view. Very peaceful place. Recommended to visit in evening for sunset. Dedicated paid parking is available. Need to climb steps, otherwise can go directly till the top from backside by vehicle. Small food stalls are available. They sell corn, coconut water, tea, snacks, etc. Good place to visit along with family.
Good surrounding. Lake view from hill is cool. Steps are easy to moderate difficult to climb.
I love climbing mountains but I know for a fact that people who are elderly cannot climb mountains like us.. so I usually avoid recommending mountains to people but this place I am recommending to all audience becuase ... either you can climb up the 450 steps to reach on top of the mountain or you can go in your vehicle upto the mountain! Yes car or bike... there is another way around the mountain that will take you to the top! No climbing, no walking!! And the view is beautiful... there is two lakes on two sides and a beautiful temple on top... It's crowded though so make your visit on a weekday . Points to note: There is no entry fee, just the parking fee You can view both the sunset and sunrise from here as it gives you 360 views ... so anytime is good! It closes by 6! So if you are going afternoon, just reach there atleast by 3.30 or 4 so that you can explore the peacock temple, also the lakes and the hilltop You have to keep your shoes outside the temple... and there is no guard so keep your shoes in the vehicle or wear something that's not costly or not shoe type.. Enjoy! This place is worth visiting!!!
A very peaceful place, offers a stunning view from the top. The hilltop also has a Jain temple. There's stairs all the way to the top of the hill, makes it perfect for beginners to trekking. The hill can also be accessed from the backside, The climb is much easier from the other side. You can take an auto to the back. On the way you can also see the Mydala lake.
Good place to visit over the weekend. There is a designated parking area. Local street vendors are available. It is advisable if you take your own water bottles and dry snacks. There is a beautiful lake behind the hill. You can directly visit there and from the back side and visit the temple if you don't want to climb the hill. Local auto rickshaws take you to the lake from the parking lot. It's definitely worth a visit.
One of the best places to visit around Bangalore. Famous Jain temple on the hill top. The view is scenic when reach hilltop, lake on the backside. Must visit place
Incredible one day destination from Bangalore, every side of the hill has a mesmerising view, and the lake beside makes it the most attractive one. Must visit once not for the temple but for nature and Breeze, you can also see trains going across the horizon which kind of looks cool. A very small and easy Trek of 200 meters to reach the top.
One of the best places around Bangalore outskirts for a Family outing. Go with your Lunches packed and you'll have a great time. Pristine panoramic views all around. Go in the early mornings and finish looking around before 11 or 12, you would have s
