It is a beautiful place for a one day picnic with friends and family. It is advisable to visit this place in the MORNING as hiking gets difficult once the sun is up. There is a parking lot available for cars and the charge is very nominal. There are autorickshaw services available if one cannot walk that long from the parking lot to the hill. The view from the hill is amazing and pleasant. The temples on the hill are also very beautiful and peaceful. There is a lake near the hill where people can sit and enjoy the food they have carried. The authority DON'T ALLOW cars near the lake on WEEKENDS but on weekdays people can drive their cars near the lake. There are road side vendors available from whom we can buy water, sugarcane juice, cucumber, chips, etc.
A serene weekend getaway near Bangalore. The location is perfect for relaxation with family and friends, featuring a unique Jain temple with Peacock Feather broom architecture. There's ample parking and a trek with 435 sculptured steps leading to breathtaking views on top of a monolithic hillock. Snacks, natural drinks, and a washroom are available at the bottom. The temple is accessible by car too. Although cars are not allowed till the hilltop on weekends, autoriksha is available if you want to skip the steps. The serene vibes, nearby lake, makes it a must-visit place just 90km from Bangalore. A peaceful, natural escape for picnics and photography.
It's a very beautiful place only 2-3 hours from.bangalore and easily connected by bus. Get down at toll.gate and take an auto, the auto charges 100 rs and drops you right till top. If you wish to take stairs there are ~200 stairs. There is a lake on the down side and also a Jain temple on the top. The peacock temple is at the bottom and is v beautiful.
It was good short day trip from Bangalore. We started at 3pm and reached at 5.20pm. It took a little long than 2 hours as I missed a turn in between. After reaching we had to pay 40rs parking fee and parking area was a bid field. Washroom also nearby. A small food stall near the park. We did not climb on the hill having 450 steps as we had less time to return. The peacock temple inside the park was well maintained and peaceful. Big thing it was very less crowdy, so we took pictures and relaxed for sometime near the lake. The lake is behind the Mandargiri hill for which we had to take our car out of parking and drove around the hill to its back. For enjoying sunset and relaxing, I recommend this place.
A great serene weekend getaway from Bangalore. The location is perfect for a calm and relaxing experience with family and friends. The Jain temple has an unique and beautiful architecture of the Pinchi - a Peacock Feather broom used by Jain monks. Plenty of parking space for cars and bikes. Next, you can walk to the nearby monolithic hillock. The neatly sculptured 435 steps trek to the top is superb. The climb is worth the effort with undeterred cool breeze and fantastic scenic views. A must visit. The temple on top of the hillock is unique and most suited for a relaxing experience. Snack and natural drinks are available at the bottom of the hillock along with a decent washroom. For those not able to trek up the hill, you can drive up to the back entrance of the temple. Visit between 6am-6pm. Total stay duration of 3-4 hours.

Peaceful place, to reach top you have to climb 450 steps or you can take vehicle to the top and car parking is also available at the hill top. Entry fees :-Rs40/vehicle
Nice getaway place near Bengaluru. It has nearly 400-500 steps to climb. We get coconut water and snacks near the parking lot. Better go by walk instead of renting autos which are costly. (If there are health issues, you can opt for autos) Try reaching the spot before 9AM to enjoy the weather.
