Heaven for biologists, many facilities are available. A very big museum of biological specimens including fishes and other species is there, ornamental fish farming, hatchery system, Marine Aquariums, cage culture into the sea. From students to teachers, everyone must have a visit with proper pre appointment. You'll enjoy this CMFRI very much.

It's a nice museum which would give a lot of insights about the research made in Ocean/sea water, how the fishes breed/hatch... along with so many displays of fossils, specimens to look through. Kids would have a good time seeing the fish aquarium. It's maintained really well.

This place will give insight to various studies and researches conducted on sea water like ocean current studies and fish distribution and breeding seasons. You can also find the best aquarium display and also fish fossils at least u have to spend 2 hours to visit particularly for kids.

There are lots of specimens are found in here . As the rameshwaram is in coastal area. It is fact that this is important to know about the sea animals and shelled animals.

Best for kids. Aquarium is there. Preserved insects and animals are there. Endemic species are also there.

National Museum on Marine Fisheries is one of the best museums in India.
