It gives inner peace and happiness. As per the beliefs, a sacred bath in the water of the kund (pond) sanctifies one from all sins. As per the legends, Nanda Baba and Yashoda, the foster parents of Lord Krishna wanted to take a holy dip in river Ganga. In order to fulfill his parent's wish, Lord Krishna meditated and brought river Ganga to Govardhan. "Mansi" refers to the 'mind' as it was originated and created by the power of the mind.
