Manasagangotri now has a new landmark - a 70-feet clock tower, the hourly chimes of which resemble those of the Big Ben in London. Constructed in front of the canteen in Manasagangotri, the seat of higher learning in Mysuru, as part of the centenary celebrations of University of Mysore, the clock tower became functional two days ago after specially-made clocks by the State-owned HMT were installed on the four sides of the tower.
