One of the larger bus stands on the way to Madurai from Rameshwaram. From here Madurai isn't very far. Every few minutes one gets buses to and from Madurai. The railway station is nearby, the city bus stand and auto stand and cabs are all nearby. Lots of stalls, selling anything from tea to dosa to biriyani. Well-organized bus stand with a great public address system, that is current as far as arrivals and departures are concerned.

After improved to municipality the bus stand need to extend with more buses and available facilities

Rameswaram - Madurai buses available every 10 mins.. some local buses also available at particular time. After 8pm we can't wait for buses at alone , sometimes street light will be off earlier seems like unsecured . Less maintenance.
