I went on sunday too crowdy . not recommended for physically challenged friends ans it is not wheel chair accessible. i enjoyed a lot . good place to take your family . unlike thirupathy wont take 8 hours 2 c d god . to take car near the temple they will charge you 50 bucks. else you have to walk 3 kms . places full of monkeys . have a safe walk

Beautiful and large temple located among hills and greenery. Be careful with the monkeys. They may snatch away your food and small bags. Nice place to visit any time of the year

Nice place. Hindu temple. Very old Rama temple. Parking is free here. It takes 30 minutes from the city to reach here. A must visit place if you are visiting Madurai. Less crowded place. Priests are very nice here.

Algar kovil situated in tamil nadu, madurai district. This place is awesome. This temple situated at foothills of Algar hills. The temple constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture.
