Manak Siddh is a holy shrine dedicated to Sage Manak, one of the 84 disciples of Lord Dattatreya. It is one of the four revered pilgrimage sites of Dehradun. The four pilgrimage sites are located at a radius of 15kms from the capital city of dehradun at four different directions. An old and revered temple located near jhewaredi near Prem Nagar Dehradun. Prasad can be taken near the entrance of the temple. Kindly take care of your kids and belongings because of monkeys but the temple has built a cage around it to keep devotees safe from monkeys.

The Kanvar (or Kanwar/ Kavad) Yatra (Devanagari: kaaNvdd' yaatraa) is an annual pilgrimage of devotees of Shiva, known as Kanvarias(kaavdd'iyaa) or "Bhole" (bhole), to Hindu pilgrimage places of Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to fetch holy waters of Ganges River. Millions of pilgrims fetch sacred water from river Ganga and carry on their shoulders for hundreds of miles to offer it in their local Siva shrines, or specific temples such as Pura Mahadeva and Augharnath temple in Meerut, and Kashi Vishwanath, Baidyanath, and Deoghar in Jharkhand. Har ki Pauri, thronged by Kanwarias, during the Kavad Mela, Haridwar. At its base, Kanwar refers to a genre of religious performances where participants ritually carry water from a holy source in containers suspended on either side of a pole. The pilgrimage derives its name from the contraption, called kanwar, and while the source of the water is often the Ganga, it can also be its local equivalents. The offering is dedicated to Shiva, often addressed as Bhola (innocent) or Bhole Baba (innocent old man). The pilgrim, accordingly, is a bhola, and in the vocative, bhole! Although there is little mention of the Kanwar as an organized festival in canonical texts, the phenomenon surely existed in the early nineteenth century when English travelers report seeing Kanwar pilgrims at many points during their journeys in the north Indian plains.[1]
