Sweets are fresh and yummy at mama's Naini Sweets. Very famous sweet shop in nainital bada bazar. I tried some sweets like the famous bal mithai which was very fresh and super tasty. Coconut laddu was also very good. Chandrakala and khoya samosa so fresh and so tasty. Visiting this sweet shop was good experience.
One of the oldest shops of bal mithai in Nainital. Fresh preparation every day. Next to it they also have a bakery shop .. great preparation.. better than most in town . Worth a try .
This was recommended by our friend. So we went here and tried "Bal Mithai", which they are very famous for since many decades in Nanital. The mithai was soft and tasty. We liked the non sugar coated ones.

Recommended by one and all in Nanital. The place is known for its Bal mitahi the popular traditional sweet in this region. Chocolate fudge like barfi with sweet white sugar balls selling for about Rs 400 a kg. They have both the white sugar balls coated burfi and the non coated for the ones with a lesser sweet tooth. It's uphill from the mall road suitated in the bada bazar, worth a walk and getting some packed for family back home.
The shop is situated in a bada bazar of nainital. Slightly far from the end of nainital mall road. There balmitalhai is famous. Also they have so many other sweet varieties which I believe are equally tasty as people were coming to purchase them.
Heritage shop but well maintained.. looks like new constructed shop. Varities of sweets like baal mithai, chocolate mithai, gubjamun, jalebi, singeri mithai and etc. Quality sweets.
