I grew up eating at this place. This place has grown from strength to strength. The authentic taste of South Indian food. Clearly a must eat place. Traditional and average cost. Don't miss the parrotas they make here. Get one and soak it in kurma for a bit and start eating. OUT OF THE WORLD If you're lucky, get their kozhukattais. That's amazing. They have added some North Indian stuff but to me, Dosas and parrathas are the best. If you're visiting chennai, this is a must eat place. Don't expect 5 star standards. Thats a small restaurant.

More than tiffin center its like fastfood. Bcas more than idly dosai, fried rice, chilli parota and mushroom fry was good. The side dishes were average like sambar chutney .

Food is very good..but the atmosphere but so great.. normally place and food go hand in hand hence gave 3 rating... Service is very good.. location is in a lane..2 wheeler is advisable.. costing is manageable..too many eateries have turned up infact several but mami tiffin is able to retain its customers

I took my mom to the beach on the pleasant Sunday morning and we hopped on to Mylapore for a good Sunday morning breakfast, and this hotel was suggested by some youtuber so I thought to give it a but to my disappointment the food was not up to the mark and it spoilt the mood. We ordered idly, a masala dosa and a vada which was served with chutney and sambar. Masala dosa - very bad, it was like roadside small dosa not crispy nor tasty. Idly - okay Vada - Good but the size was very small Sambar - very bad Chutney - okay. The service was good. I would never visit this hotel again nor recommend it to anyone.

One fine afternoon, after visiting Kapaleeswarar temple, I took my friends to eat in this hotel just because it's close to the temple. Please consider this point, don't be lazy like me so please eat somewhere with your family and friends. I am totally disappointed with the meals and the service. I ordered meals, I got 3 curries,kesari, 1 poriyal, 1 koottu, appalam and rice. Let me describe one by one 1. Rice- Half boiled rice (not preferable for kids) 2. Sambhar- average (if u don't like capsicum to be soaked in your sambhar, please don't go, because I find only capsicum in it) 3. I am not sure whether it's karakozhambu Or Vathakozhambu- it tastes worse (I could smell a lot of Jeeragam not anything else) 4. Rasam- ok ( first of all I thought it is paruppu rasam, but it's not so. They are actually using a single ladle to every gravy so u find the mixed taste in every curry even in Kesari) 5.Kesari- like a cheery on the cake, I found kesari on the top of kovakkai poriyal. I think they unfortunately misplaced it. 6.kovakkai poriyal- average 7. Koottu- average (vegetables are by mistake soaked in coconut chutney) To conclude, don't disappoint yourself here rather dine somewhere to save the good vibe of the day...

No hygiene, tasteless and never order meals because it's a mixed meal where sambhar tastes like rasam, koottu and kesari taste the same, you can also find innumerable taste in unexpected dishes, for example, imagine, you are eating rasam with apalam, it will taste like kesari with apalam instead of the real taste. This people will confuse taste buds by providing their meals. This is due to the usage same ladle in every curry.

No proper service staffs, very lack of communication with customers. Now of the days the taste of food items are not acceptable. A boiled potato made divided into 2 part and placed into dosai as he severed as a malasa dosai. Very worst. If u ask any thg the server or management staff not answering properly

Worst food... They served bonda... Which was done two r three hours before.. Very very dry.....
