Malda Tourist Lodge - Lodge in Malda - Maldah, India

We stayed there for one night. The rooms are well furnished & clean, though maintenance can be a little better. The staff is courteous, but the food at the restaurant can be better. It has an attached foreign liquor shop in the campus. Also please note that bookings can be done online only.

It is located in the centre of Malda town, all-time bus services are available and the station is just ten minutes away by Toto.

I was there just one day back. My wife , my brother and bhavi were with me. Hospitality of the staff are excellent. Rooms are very well maintained. Regarding service I must say it is beyond my previous idea...just wonderful. I recommend everybody to stay there if available. Fishes are too good. I wish more more success for all of them.

Excellent infrastructure. But as it is a Government Property, maintenance is an issue. Excellent location.

Room was very clean and toilet also but their some staff have rude behavior. The main problem is there is they don't provide any dental kit or shaving kit something like that even they only have soap nothing more than that. And also main thing you have to keep in mind if you want to have dinner or lunch you have to order 1hour before atleast this was the worst experience of mine. I love to stay in WBTDCL properties but this was very bad experience. Except room condition others are in bad condition their service what they are providing etc.

The first thing I'd mention is the "Courteous Staffs". We were family of Six with one toddler and checked in around 8:00 PM with luggage. The level of warm welcome we received from them is beyond words. Even they took permission before adding 5% service tax in bills. They arranged for food inside rooms with pleasure. Location: Prime Location - in core city. Ambience: Good, feels like expensive hotel. Room: Huge Spacious room and well decorated. Bed was big enough - 3 adults can sleep comfortably. 2 Pillows and 2 Bolsters were there. Blankets were clean. Two Cleanliness: Rooms, Bathroom, common area table, two sofas, Bed, Linens, Bed side table etc everything were clean. Bathrooms: Clean. Separate glass covered area for bathing. x and 3x mirrors were there for shaving and face grooming. Amenities: They've handed over sealed package for toiletries to everyone and one mineral water for every person. Electric Kettle, Geyser, AC, TV, bed Lamps etc everything was there and everything worked fine. (My kid turned on AC mistakenly & came to know that AC works fine too) Parking: Ample space for parking Cars. One thing that doesn't suit up - probably the only wbtdcl that doesn't have breakfast included.

Main plus point of this property is it's location. It is located in the heart of the city. Buses, autos, totos are always buzzing here. Long distance buses are available from here. It is a bus stop itself. It is also filled with shops around it. Naturally this place is always full of noise. The rooms are quite good but a little more attention to cleanliness would be good. WiFi is not good. The price of food in their in-house restaurant is very high, I have given some pictures to give you some idea. Please note that though they have complimentary breakfast policy that won't be applicable for the last day when you will be checking out. Breakfast timing is 8-10 am. Let me talk about something important now. At the time of billing, service charge is added without permission and GST is being calculated on top of that, so be careful!
