Its a house designed as a hotel. Lot of hotels came and gone. Now malavika hotel functions.
We orderd chappathi, porotta, egg fried rice and paneer butter masala.
Egg fried rice was so tasty i wil give 5 stars
The chappathi seems to be avg just 2 stars
Porota is managable 4 stars.
Wht disappointed us is panner butter masala.no thick gravy no taste at all. Its just deserve 1 star only
A pond is there. The water also smells not nice in there. The table is not as nice as seen thru glass.
I wont recommend ths hotel.
If u eat egg fried rice, go for it. Take a parcel and have it.
A restaurant with an unique ambience of Kerala architecture and interiors. Roof clay tiles, centrally open to the sky courtyard, teak wood pillars, colonial windows and doors makes this restaurant special. The food served is delicious. Loved the chicken fry and fish fry. The interiors can be upgraded / refurbished for better looks.
A nice restaurant to have kerala dishes in a traditional ambience. Cooked, served & managed a group of women, you will feel like having food at home..
Good food at good rate. One of the hidden spots at the centre of Palakkad. The shop has wide parking area with a very different ambience inside which makes the food even more enjoyable.
We were on a trip to Palakkad and nearby places and came to know about Ela restaurant through a friend and wanted to give a try. Great ambience of an heritage setup combined with some lip smacking food. Tasted my first fish curry(Karimeen Moli) here which was very delicious. Another yummy dish was chicken kondatam which was very affordable and can easily be sufficient for 2-3 people. The service was very heartful with the staff constantly checking on what was needed. In the end the bill was just less than 800 for 5 people which is good for the quality of the food served. Palakkadians and people visiting Palakkad can visit this place and try some more lip smacking dishes and enjoy the ambience.
Its a budget restaurant. Good meals and biriyani available at normal rates. No much varieties in the menu. Clean and well maintained. Their special grape juice is good.
We visited Ela on a weekend for lunch and had an amazing experience! We didn't quite know of such a place before and the lone board on the road side caught our attention. It is located opposite to Big Bazaar in a bylane.
I had porotta and beef fry, both of which tasted great. The porottas were fluffy and large, I barely managed to finish them while the beef fry were prepared in a part-Chinese style with plenty of capsicums and onions. Loved it too. My parents did vouch for the meals and fish fry as well. They have converted an old traditional home (naalu-kettu) to a restaurant and have done it up quite well.
There's ample parking space inside but they've got to cover the open ground with some interlocking tiles or concrete to prevent the mud and grime during monsoons. It was a bit filthy there. Do check out this place for a change from Noorjehans and Royal Treat. Cheers!
In Palakkad town, definitely a good place for lunch dining. I order dinners from Malavika on Zomato. For lunch, one of the best quality 'meals with fish curry'. Quite affordable also. Can also order a chicken dish or a fish (meen mulakittathu or fish fry) for a side. Good, friendly staff members. Clean and hygienic. Authentic naadan specialties.
