One of the most dreamy place in my bucket list. Had a chance to go there this October when the water lily season was about to end ( so there were less flowers as compared to Aug). This pink village is a must visit place if you are in Kerala between Aug- Oct. Lovely pink water lilies bloom at night, so the best time to visit is 6-10am. The boat ride of serenity through millions of water lilies is an amazing experience.
A paddy field bloomed with water lilies which gives us the illusion beauty of pink carpet... Perfect place for some morning and evening leisure, better to visit during sunrise and sunset... During the season it's a little bit crowded yet it's worth the crowd. A cool breeze with a hinge of sunrays and lots of pinkie lilies are apt for every mind that needs refreshment. Small boats are available for a much deeper and closer exploration of the place.
Malarikkal View Point is an absolute haven for photography enthusiasts, offering an exquisite backdrop that's tailor-made for capturing stunning shots. The optimal time for a visit is undoubtedly the early morning hours, a period when the place truly comes alive. The water lilies, a highlight of this spot, radiate a unique charm during these hours, adding a touch of enchantment to your photographs. To fully experience the magic, it's recommended to arrive between 6 am and 7 am, as anything later might result in withered water lilies that lose their visual allure. Additionally, the harsh sunlight can sometimes pose a challenge to capturing the perfect shot, further emphasizing the importance of an early start. An early morning trip promises an unforgettable experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the captivating scenery while preserving its natural beauty through your lens. It's worth noting that the peak season for this spot extends from August to September, offering a limited window to witness the stunning water lilies in all their splendor. In conclusion, Malarikkal View Point beckons to photography aficionados, offering a magical canvas that's most vibrant during the early morning hours. Plan your visit accordingly to capture the essence of this remarkable location and create lasting memories through your lens.
This place is really good to visit from morng 6.30 to 9. You can have a nice time in the country boats at just Rs 100/ person. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. An ideal place for a breakfast ride. Can spend around 1 hour here
Beautiful place. It's better if you arrive in the early morning; only then can you see the fully bloomed flowers. Pay-and-park facilities are available there. You will have to pay 20-30 rupees for parking. You will also find boat services to navigate through the water. Overall, it's a great place to admire the beauty of water lilies.
Nice place to visit with family and friends. it would be entertainment for kids, traveling with kids in the boat (Vallam) especially. if you want to have a wonderful view and experience better get there in the morning at about 6 am. Evening time is not good for views or boat travel. I have not seen any hotels. there are plenty of pay and park areas available
The red water lilly flowers look gorgeous. This is seasonal, only July to September as I heard. The motorised canoes will take you to near flowers. It is not deep at all, hence safe. Hundred rupees per adult they charges. Also go further down the road and not stop your car at the first spot you see paid parking. The flowers only open from night till morning around 10. 7-9 am is the best time to go
Great experiance. The ferry ride cost about Rs.100/- per person and is worth it. Best time to visit is early August. Lot of parking space available; so no need to pay any parking charges. Visit early morning 6-9 am to see the lotus flowes blossom. Enjoy the beauty of nature.
