Malankara Dam - Tourist attraction in Thodupuzha - Idukki, India

The dam and its surroundings looks very beautiful... constructed across Thodupuzha river for irrigation purposes... The dam is constructed to make use of the tail water from the Moolamattom power house... The project is run under the Muvattupuzha Valley Irrigation Project and KSEB.

Calm & scenic place. Park for kids is available. Don't Expect Too Much. Very calm and quiet place to visit with family. Good for a evening trip. Plenty of parking space. Ticket rates are Rs 20 per head and Rs 10 per vehicle.

Come in the morning or evening rather than in the afternoon. It is a good relaxing place. A dam full of beautiful blue water. When we left, the dam was releasing water. After seeing the sights at the dam, there is a baby park nearby . You can spend time there as babies. It is a good place to come and spend time as a family. It seems that this is the only relaxing space for those who come to Thodupuzha.

Try to reach their at the earliest of the day as possible. You could see some great mountains covered with fog 6am to 7am and till sunrise is a good time Instead of directly entering the dam via the main entrance, try this location It will give u a more beautiful view

Calm place to visit, and there is a children's park to spending time with our child. The scenery was outstanding and greenish.

A good tourist place with a park for kids.Entry is restricted to one side with a fees of 20 per head and 10 for car. We could spend time walking through the dam but sitting in the walls are restricted.
