Malampuzha garden Entrance - Garden in Malampuzha-I - Palakkad, India

Zero maintenance, overgrown grass lawns, no water fountains, pay 5 rupees per person to use restrooms even after paying entrance fee for 30 rupees per person to enter the park. Altogether this is a disaster of a park. This used to be a great tourist destination once, decades ago. I'm utterly disappointed to see the state of this park right now.

Best tourist place. Don't miss if you visit palakkad. We can spend whole day with family. Kids will really love this place. Park and playing ground available. Good nature view from the dam. Snacks counter available inside. We can take our food inside as well.

Mazhampulla dam is one of the main good place in palakkad. Dam Entry fee for adult is Rs30 and Rs20 for childrens. Well maintained garden with view of dam and mountains. Swimming pool is closed on the day. Ropecar ride is must try. Boating, children park play area is added big advantage. Need to maintain childrens park play equipments. Pay and parking facility available. Good place to hangout with families and friends.

Great place for a day trip or picnic just on Kerala - Tamil Nadu border. Approach road is very scenic and well maintained. The dam is less than 15 mins away from the highway, so easoly approachable. Parking is available nearby, costs Rs15/-. There are hotels and restaurants nearby for meals and quick bites. Entry price is Rs30 per adult and Rs20 per child. Children below 3 years don't require a ticket. The garden has a kids play area with plenty swings. It is well maintained. There are different kinds of gardens where you can walk around and enjoy. There is a flight of stairs using which you can get to the top of the dam. The views are really brilliant and you can walk all the way to the top of the dam spillway. There are 2 hanging bridges which can be used to get to the other section of the park across the spillway. The greenery in the garden is amazing. Restrooms are available in various places. These are pay to use but well kept. The ropeway is not part of the dam park and should be approached from outside the garden. Lovely place to visit for a relaxing weekend.

This location is a fantastic place with breathtaking views that's perfect for hanging out with family or friends. However, certain attractions like the Sound and Light show and boating were not operational when I visited. I highly recommend taking some time to enjoy the top of the dam, where you can soak in the refreshing wind and the wonderful atmosphere of this place.

GoodMalampuzha Garden in Palakkad district is the only rock-cut garden in South India made by Nek Chand, the renowned artist and winner of the prestigious Padmashree Award. The entire garden is made from broken pieces of bangles, tiles, used plastic cans, tins and other waste materials. Also situated in the gardens is the massive Malampuzha Yakshi (female vampire) built in 1969 by Kanayi Kunhiraman, a greatly respected sculptor from the state. It is a spectacular relic of art that we are lucky to still have with us. The flowering beds, fountains and rose gardens along with an aerial ropeway make it a place that instantly soothes your soul.
