Malampuzha Flower Garden - Garden in Malampuzha-I - Palakkad, India

Mazhampulla dam is one of the main good place in palakkad. Dam Entry fee for adult is Rs30 Well maintained garden with view of dam and mountains. Swimming pool is closed on the day. Ropecar ride is must try. Boating, children park play area is added big advantage. Need to maintain childrens park play equipments. Pay and parking facility available. Good place to hangout with families and friends.

As on 24-04-2022 dated. There is enough space to utilize, but nobody cares. Only a small portion of the garden is maintained. Most of the space are wasted by not caring. There exists unwanted plants and waste contents. I have visited gardens in tamilnadu and karnataka, those were waaw... And malampuzha is just okay. Rope way was not working at the date. There is alot to walk in the dam and garden area. So old people may feel difficulty to walk. No proper support from the government. This place can make the most tourist income in palakkad kerala. But it wont. The childrens park was destroyed. The women statue is not maintained or cleaned. Boating inside the garden is too expensive. The best time to visit here is after 5 pm. Otherwise too hot here.

Though the garden part is decently maintained, there are structures like steps and stairs which needs maintenance. Authorities needs to do something about the maintenance ASAP.

Malampuzha flower garden is really awesome place with good ambience. If you are planning to spend some beautiful time with your loving ones ,this place is ideal for that. Malampuzha dam, garden, rope view, malampuzha yakshi are one of the most attractions of this place.

It is situated in the foothills of the Western Ghats of India near the Malampuzha Dam reservoir which is built on River Malampuzha, the tributary of River Bharatapuzha, Kerala's largest river. The landscaped garden is a perfect picnic spot for tourists. The scenic beauty of the garden on the banks of the reservoir is a treat to the eyes. The garden occupies a huge expanse of land on the foothills of the Ghat. The well-maintained park consists of flower beds, tall trees, stretches of well-maintained grasslands, artificial water bodies. Had a great time there A beautiful garden with varieties of flowers and a very well architecture. It's the only rock-cut gardens in South India. The entire garden is made from broken pieces of bangles, tiles, used plastic cans, tins and other waste materials. The famed Malampuzha Yakshi built by Kanayi Kunjiraman is also in the gardens.

This location is a fantastic place with breathtaking views that's perfect for hanging out with family or friends. However, certain attractions like the Sound and Light show and boating were not operational when I visited. I highly recommend taking some time to enjoy the top of the dam, where you can soak in the refreshing wind and the wonderful atmosphere of this place.
