Fixed price. No hidden charges. Very good efficient drivers. Good measures taken for safety. There is a designated queue as per your bill number. Hence no problem of hassle or overtaking others. We found the staff very systematic.
Boating at Kakkayam Dam Reservoir is a wonderful experience.. They have Five person(including child) speed boat for which they are charging Rs 900.00 for 15 minutes ride.. While riding we can see scenic view of the reservoir area..Entry time is till 5.PM.. there is parking available at Dam area and there is a small kids playing area and refreshment shop also available.. beware of leeches..
Beautiful, natural and peaceful place. Morning is the right and pleasuring time to visit this place. Exciting journey through foggy hill(at morning not sure about other time). There's a dam, waterfall, boating etc.
Had great experience boating here. We can go between small islands and experience beauty like in another world. Just tell boatman to do some tricks and you can make it into an adventure trip too.

Small hair pin bends, view points and waterfalls are added attractions on this way. Sudden change in climate is a characteristics of kakkayam. You can enjoy boating at dam top. The drivers are friendly and are doing their best to entertain the tourists, at the same time assuring all the safety measures. Every person should wear the life jacket. Separate jackets for adults and children are provided.
