I was going to give five stars but after a poor experience towards the last day of our purchase I couldn't anymore. We visited Malabar gold twice on consecutive days to make multiple purchases. On day 1, we were helped by Ms. Priya Udayakumar and she did a great job in helping us with what we were looking for. We had asked her to bill it and tell us the final amount. Around this time we had asked a manager (Mr. Suresh from the Velachery branch) who was around, to check the final cost because something felt wrong. He gave us a discount of 3000 for our purchase. And he gave us this discount only after we asked him multiple times. On day 2, we were helped by Ms. Renuka and she did a great job in helping us as well. She billed it and told us the final amount and told us that they have a 30% off going on for diamonds for Diwali. All our purchases so far has been diamonds but somehow on day 1 no mentioned about the discount and if we hadn't asked the manager to look into the cost and reduce it, we wouldn't have gotten any discount as well. On day 1 we should've gotten a discount of 4900 according to their 30% off offer going on but we only got a Rs. 3000 discount that too after asking multiple times to reduce the cost. Now what I don't understand is why we weren't told about the discount on day 1, by both the manager and the sales person (The offer was going on for a week since Diwali and according to their store policy we should've received the discount on day 1). Why did the manager act like he was doing a huge favour for us when he was trying to reduce the final cost when we were infact entitled to the 30% discount in the first place. Infact he gave us a Rs. 900 discount at first, and then a Rs. 2000 and finally the Rs. 3000 discount. This one thing ruined the entire experience for us and they have lost our trust. Rest assured me and my family will never step foot in a Malabar gold ever again. The only reason we even went to Malabar gold was we didn't have the time to go to T Nagar to visit Bhima Jewellers. If you have the time please skip Malabar gold and go to Bhima jewellers or even VBJ and LKS.

Customers are respected and taken care well. We can take our time to choose and try the jewels available there. Gajalakshmi was very helpful and we are happy with the service she provided. She met our expectations as always. In addition to the T Nagar branch, this is one of the shop I always recommend. Shop is maintained well and it's spacious. Car parking is available. Impressed with there ambience and service.
