Decent room at this location! The rooms were decent and the sheets were clean. But from one look at the room you can identify that it's an old hotel. Maintenance is not upto the mark. The centrallized AC makes noise but works fine. The bathrooms were so old and rusty. The shower was broken and you have to with for a bucket or 2 to get hot water. The room service was nice, the people were really friendly and responded quickly to the requests. This hotel is pretty good for staying a day or 2 in T-Nagar.
Rooms are average, they charged 2200 per day including all taxes . We can find better options with this price TV was not worked , i called to reception on this , but they told me this problem occurred from cable operator , all tv's in this hotel had same problem ,but my next room guys watching tv . No complementary breakfast, no restaurant.
Excellent service and customer care. Highly recommend for Sri Lankan's visiting T Nagar.

Not a good place to stay, since there is no proper maintenance. The room we stayed had Crack on walls, broken lights and flush problem.

If someone is wanting to shop till one drops in Chennai city, it is the location to be in. Mala Inn is a good budget hotel, with good rooms and very friendly staff always trying to serve their best. Unfortunately the place doesn't have a restaurant, but there are decent food options available in the surrounding.
