Moderate trek with serene views of the surrounding hills and the lake. Takes 1.5 hrs uphill with trail of loose boulders. Watching the passing trains along the foothills and the highway nearby adds charm to the trek. Book in advance, start early. Trek is allowed from 6 am only, so sunrise views are not assured! But the view of the lake and hills makes it a worthy trek.
Amazing Trekking place. It's easy to moderate trekking spot. We can climb the top hill in 45 minutes and spend some quality time in hill top. It's controlled by Forest department of Karnataka so we need to buy book tickets in advance In Karnataka Eco tourism website. It's very lush green in monsoon and while descending the hill one needs to be very careful because of rocks. There is no seller in this trek so needs to carry our own eatery and even drinking water.
Hiked on 19th nov..It's a moderate level hike with gradual ascents through rocks and boulders half way to the summit. The entire hike is well marked by arrows every 50 metres. Time taken 2-2.5hrs depending on pace. Wear good grip shoes to avoid injury (Please no chappals/sandals)
Trek Level of difficulty - Moderate. Please book in advance and do take a guide if going with family. Excellent Trek just 70 mins from Bangalore. I visited this place along with my wife and daughters. The younger one is 9 years old and she could manage to climb with some help. The trek has large boulders and trails is well marked. Please wear hard shoes. It takes approximately 90 mins to climb and also to come down as distance is just a couple of kms. The views from this place are breathtaking.
Very good Trek with scenic view. Well maintained. Make sure not to litter. Keep it clean and enjoy nature's beauty. Wear good shoes as lot of rocks in the path.
It is moderate level trekking, not very easy and not very difficult. Start early around sunrise to avoid heat. View is good from the hill top.
A must visit place if you are a trekking enthusiast. Moderately easy trek if you are fit. Boulder sections, monolithic rocks, green patches and old fort ruins, this trek has it all.
