The trek can be booked through Karnataka tourism website. It's a good trek, not too long, good for beginners also. On the top there is a small fort also. The view of gundamagere lake from the top is mesmerizing . There is ample parking space available. The lake is close to the hill, so you can consider visiting the lake also after the trek.

A 2 hr trek. No amenities the whole way . Please carry your water, a stick and wear good shoes . There are some HUGE rocks you have to cross A cap would be helpful too . The view from the fort is breathtaking. Worthy every penny You have to buy the ticket on line before starting .

One of the peaceful & scenic treks on the north eastern side of Bangalore. Road & the journey to the trekking spot itself is very awesome and not much vehicle movements. Hike is well guided through sign marks, and easy to reach the peak, best part of the trek will be many scenic halting points, almost you can take any trail and that will lead to a good scenic spot & the mountain itself doesn't seem risky, once can enjoy exploring different paths, overall trek should take 2-3 hours (1 hr to climb up & 30 mins to get down)...there is a small temple & layers of fort on top of the hill. Would say one of the best scenic treks near Bangalore.

Pretty decent trek for beginners with small areas between which were a bit difficult. The monuments are nothing to be seen out there. But the view from up top is pretty great and make your trek worthwhile. There's no guide. You have to book your trek permit from state website in advance. There's a small decent resort beside if you are planning to stay the night and start the trek next morning.

It's a really nice trek which is of moderate level. It has great view from the top. There are multiple picturesque spot as well. It will take around 3 hrs to cover the trek.

Nice small trek. Just remember to buy tickets from karnataka eco tourism beforehand. They have marked arrows all the way to top for the trail. The view is also really good. You can roam around at the top and see the two lakes from different sides.

This trek is normal apart from a few points. You will find one or two points where there is steep trekking but can be easily covered. For beginners this would be an awesome trek and enjoyable. My suggestion is just start early to reach on top with less crowds and little obstacles on the way. As there is only one route so people ascend and descend on the same and will become difficult while trekking up later in the morning. Even you will find a great scenic view in the morning with sunrise, depending upon the weather.

Best place for the people who likes trekking, trek is moderate so you can enjoy the view without thinking too much about getting on the top. @iam_thetrekkerguy
