Park made in the memories of Major khawar ..who was a young Major give its life in north East region of India .. for our country.. park not maintained by authorities and not open for all.. it open occasionally for cleaning in years ...
It's a park just for namesake. Closed all the year round 24 hours a day except for the time when grasscutters come. Outside or inside, it's dilapidated. The tiles are falling off, one of the gates is jammed, the hutment inside is unusable, it seems like a forest because if uninhibited growth since long. There is no board or marking denoting its name. So a passer by won't practically realize that this is Major Khawar Park. It is concealed from all sides by cars parked illegally.
Very small, well built, and it does have a small fountain too. But, it's all useless. Park remains closed to public all the time. You may observe it from the road. Don't bother to come all the way just to visit it. You will be disappointed.
Had an wonderful experience there with food and environment. The staff is very quick. The food is so good that it will totally satisfied your teast . I will surly go there again and suggest everyone to give it a visit.
