Maithan Temple Pillar - Historical landmark in Tezpur - Sonitpur, India

It is a greatfull place. Temple is overall nice but something is missing. When visit this Temple look over the bridge at brahmaputra river, the sinario is mind blowing. Overall is good but not great from my view....

Beautiful religious environment. There is easy access to the area.

It should be either Maithan Mandir or Bhairabi temple/mandir. I don't know why it has been named Maithan Mandir Pillar. It's a beautiful temple located at a serene hillock on the bank of the mighty Brahmaputra at Kolibari. This temple is dedicated to Maa Bhairabi. All the Pujaries and volunteers of this temple are good. Since, it is situated on the top of a hillock, so visitors need to climb several steps to reach the temple. This temple is currently being renovated and beautification works are going on. Devotees can still offer prayers. It's a good place to organise small religious ceremonies. Wedding, annprasanna etc. are also organised as per requirement of the devotees. Over all, it's a very sacred temple to offer prayer and seek blessings of Mata Bhairabi.

Ancient rock piller of temple situated outer side of bhairabi temple hill. It cover with shed, stairs also there . Most of the visitors skip this place . it just few step away from bhairabi temple gate. Whenever you visited don't skip such historical landmark.

It was good experience. U will find an positive vibes and aura. U better go once in a year..
