This place is located in Dakshin Dinajpur, it's a so beautiful place around the Dakshin Dinajpur, also it's a tourist places and their has a pond, that's name is Mahipal dighi. Some tourist spots are situated their. In one word it's wow.

Mahipal Dighi is a historical man made water body.It is believed to be dug up during the king MAHIPAL 2nd, at approximately 971 AD.

Just a big dighi.... Nothing to see there... And very dirty place... If you are interested only for big DIGHI...then you can go otherwise wast of time and money also

It is a pond spread over a large area. Communication to this place is possible only by foot, cycles or motorcycles.

Not too good, it's a ok type location

It's good place for morning and evening outings with friends and also for solo time spendings. You will feel relaxed and calm. It's approximately 8-9 km from Kushmandi and the roads are quite good and empty to drive through. Approximately located 1.5 km from chowrangi more you will find a market nearby here so if you are going for a evening outings you will find tea and snacks there.

Mahipal Dighi, constructed by Mahipala II of Pala Dynasty shows magnificent beauty over the area. Now the water body is mostly covered with phytoplanktons and need refurbishment. There is a resort and part on the one side of the waterbody.
