A kind of grass on the water tank makes a strong outer surface , which enable us to walk and jump on water.
To start with the fort is in good condition considering it is not maintained much. After reaching the foothills the climb is a moderate one to reach the half stage of the mountain from where the fort walls are viewed great.Then it is somewhat of a task to find the numbers and arrows which points us to go around and reach the top of the fort.At the end of the fort there is kanni kovil and a pond over there.Really nice trek
I had been once all alone myself there before 7 years. Wonderful Trecking spot for beginners. Sad part is the govt did not maintain or clean the fort which is damaged, the villagers are trying to maintain it. Can visit with friends with food, stick, water.
I am proud to publish a photos of our village and our magimandalam village fort and also I am a social worker.
Have to travel 2.5 km from the bottom to reach the fort. The speciality of the fort is, it contains pond covered with fern like or may be fern plant that one can easily run on the surface of the water.
Nice place to visit .Don't drink too much of water which will be available at top of the fort better to carry water bottles and don't throw the wastes .Be careful of small insects.
A okayish trekking spot... Avoid during summer ..
Its Unknown Fort but its half buid fort some thing was done..but we dont know history ..i will research soon....next update i will dooo..
