Mahil Pond - Lake in Orai - Jalaun, India

Got this name from "mahil" The king of orai, now it is evening spot for family and friends, parking facility is not available so u have to go from auto

This used to be my go to place whenever I was feeling low or high I found myself here. So there is a pond and it's surrounded by trees and a small avenue to walk. Be careful sometimes monkey make resident on the trees and they're naughty. Some paddle boats are there now. Now a days it's not at all peaceful here and on top of that pond is very dirty and sometimes smell is so bad can't even take a walk around it's pavement. If you like old small city charm you can visit here for 10-15 minutes during sun set or after view is little ordinary but you can find good perspective for photos if you love to click nature.

This is a very old pond, there are many monkeys here, proper arrangements have been made, the mind gets peace and there is a good view.

Firstly, it looks very pretty at night. There's a bridge, boats, food, light, perfect for a nice evening.

This is very old historical pond, said to be built by King Mahil. It was neglected for long time but after renovation it got new life. Lot of people visit it daily for relaxing and morning-evening walks. Beautiful place with lot of greenery. It is believed to have a tunnel which connects to Mahoba, however no official confirmation regarding this. Temple of Jhansi ki Rani Laxmibai is also there.
