Loved this place at the centre of Rock beach. I have visited in the evening time and bit disappointed to see that there was no lighting in the statue area and also all over the beach. Crowd was good but not much options to eat and explore. Don't know whether it was due to week day or what but not as expected.
Our favourite Bapu statue. Father of our Nation. Near by there is tribute to freedom fighters. The place is the good happening spot. Many public events seems to organised here. The beach is awesome & pleasant. The place is neat, clean & well maintained. Only challenge is finding parking spot if going in 4 wheelers. Please be cautious, the traffic cops some times impose fines for parking cars in no-parking areas.
This place is an amazing spot to sit and talk also have a calm walk observing the nature around. This statue is constructed such a way it seems beautiful with 8 pillars around and sky view from front. When you try to shoot pictures you can see the real beauty of this architecture. This place is usually crowded and there will no chance for parking. It is the centre of entry for the Rock beach and u can find full of food and shopping stalls around this area. Try to visit in evening times and roam towards the beach and have a good time.
