Mahatma Gandhi Mandapam is located in the shores of Indian Ocean near to stunning Kanyakumari beach.
The life history of Gandhi ji is portrayed here and the ashes of Mahatma kept before being immersed in the ocean.
The most remarkable feature is an opening in ceiling of the building is positioned in such a way that (on each 2nd October, the birth anniversary of Mr. Gandhi) sunlight falls on the exact spot where ashes kept in a urn.
The memorial is well maintained and the place is not so crowded .
Entry is free, open from 7am to 7pm.
The view from Mandapam is awesome, especially when the sun is setting.

You can see the old painting, on that about the Mahatama Gandhi life described if you want you can wait here for 30 minutes max. But for me 15 minutes was more because there was nothing much interesting according to me.

Very nice, beautiful, calm and quite place. This is located near the shores of Kanyakumari.The view we get from this museum is mesmerizing. About the museum : Free entry, not crowded, a place to relax from the heated up sun, photographs of Gandhiji and his life history. They don't showcase any belongings of Gandhiji Nice place very peaceful. It's open in the morning from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
