Maharashtra food stall - Featured Reviews (150)
The Maharashtra food stall is located towards the end of dilli haat inside of the food court. Service is damn slow. Tables are not cleaned even after asking for repeatedly. Tried a few dishes. Had pav bhaji which wasn't good at all. The bhaji had no taste and just a few potatoes in curry. The dabeli was ok. Sabut Dana Upma was ok sorta. The sabut Dana vada was still better but not good. Overall food wasn't good. Quite expensive but no quality and quantity.
Been a favourite for many many years. They have some authentic Maharashtra foods and make them quiet well. Though over time I've had most of the dishes they serve, today we had missal pav (good, but less pulses than usual), zunka bhakri (brinjal sabzi was nice, the zunka was ok, bhakri was nice), and lassi (quite nice).
Pros: 1. Excellent place Maharashtrian Food or should I rather say Mumbai Street Food Taste is better than what you find in Mumbai's Streets 2. Ever since they've moved to New building there's good space to sit and ambiance is nice also the place is well maintained and clean 3. Owners are polite & provide good customer service also Service boys are helpful and will explain the food items well to you if required 4. Taste is Good which brings most people back to this place Cons. 1. Location in new building is at a corner surrounded with other restaurants which was somewhat a difficult to find 2. Prices when compared to Mumbai are a bit on the higher side (however when you compare price of 2 burgers to a plate of Vada pao it's justified)
The Maharashtra Food Stall has been one of my favourite places to eat in Dilli Haat for many years now. It serves an all-vegetarian menu featuring popular dishes like misal-pao, pao bhaji, sabudana vada, sabudana khichdi, puran poli, zhunja-bhakar, thalipeeth and more. The sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada, and thalipeeth are particular favourites: delicious, good-sized portions, not too greasy or heavy, and definitely worth going back for again and again.
Visited this outlet with high expectations of having authentic Maharashtrian food. Ordered a missal pav and thalipeeth. The missal was spicy and good but the quality of the bread was a letdown as it was nothing like the pav you get in Maharashtra. The thalipeeth was the saving grace which was served with a garlic and peanut chutney, green chutney and raita.
This is the place to be at whenever you miss Mumbai food. The Vada Pav is to die for and transforms you to the streets of mumbai. They're is a guy who gets this amazing Khullar chai from somewhere behind and can moderate the sugar and milk in the tea just perfect to your taste. If you are around the INA market or strolling at Dilli Haat it's a perfect spot to rest your feet and take care of the quick hunger pangs. It's also a great place to swing by and pause if you are too tired of driving through the Delhi peak hour traffic.
The stall is good place to experience authentic maharastrian food....... It has a good siting capacity in open air which is very good. the service is good also....... The food is also very delicious and you should try their pav bhaji and sev puri....... You should definitely check this place out when visiting dilli haat. ....
