Maharaja District Hospital - Featured Reviews (110)
Public health is priority for any government. We all have a different opinion regarding government health care & it's sustainability. This hospital is quite opposite & they have every reason to change our mind set towards building positive opinion towards public health care system in Vizianagaram. Awesomely maintained, hygiene & sanitation are given high priority, areas of the hospital have been segregated according to the intensity of the disease. Patients are well treated & given utmost importance & care. I haven't experienced any negligence or it's ok attitude. Their blood bank is the best with great team. Hats off to their care & process to treat the patients & conquer their 's.
A hospital where all classes of people can medical assistant and services for free of cost.......... Well maintained surroundings..... Hospital staff and doctors are also good...... But sometimes it takes too much time for even small needs....
Good Response and Treatment, consult The Doctor and talk to him.
I am senior ophthalmologist, practicing at Chennai. My native place is Vizianagaram with two of my sisters and several relatives residing there. I am also daughter of late Sri. P. V. Ramaniah Raja On 08-08-2020, I received the devastating news that my second sister Mrs. Sudha, 63 years aged, wife of late Dr. G. Subba Rao was suffering with breathlesness due to SpO2 at 75%. Her HRCT scan of chest revealed ground glass opacities confirming severe Covid clinically. My first choice for treatment was Chennai, apparently. But circumstances were not permissible. We could not get room in any private hospital at Vizianagaram or move her to Visakhapatnam. Hon. Vizianagaram MLA Sri Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy who is selflessly serving during this pandemic situation, Dr. Lakshmi Peketi, service minded family physician and Dr. Malla Venkatesawara Rao, paediatrician, convinced us that Maharaja District Hospital is rendering excellent care to Covid afflicted patients and had necessary facilitiies . Having worked at government hospitals, my husband, Prof. Dr. Sundhar Krishnan, Endoscopic Skull Base n ENT Surgeon and myself finally took a call and decided to admit her at Maha Raja District Head Quarters Hospitals, Vizianagaram. Dr. Srikanth, heading the Covid Care Team was assuring. The multi disciplinary team there periodically appraised the status to my sister's son. After admission, my sister was continuously monitored for vitals, administered necessary drugs and given supportive treatment in the ICU. Physician Dr. Vinodh was called in because my sister had comorbidities of diabetes and urinary infection which were managed competently. Their practical approach was laudable because only relevant tests and interventions done. My sister was discharged on the 28th of August with Spo2 at 96% unaided. We are indebted to, as well as proud of the Medical Superintendent Dr. Seetharam Raju Gaaru, Dr Srikanth, Dr. Padmavathy, Dr Vinodh and all other doctors who staked their own lives and families for saving the life of my sister, Mrs. G. Sudha The purpose of this post is to appreciate the dedicated team of doctors cum para medical supportive staff of Maharaja District Hospital, Vizianagaram and the commendable health services made available by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under the Chief Ministership of Honourable. Of my personal experience genuinely saying its More than worst Never prefer it as a choice , they even wont care what the condition of yours, they make you to run from one room to other room. Evn nurses or boys in the sample collection room or testing rooms are not intersted or receivable towards patients. From my personal experience, for CBC, sugar test on fasting and after food, they took blood samples from me and informed me collect samples after 2 hrs, after when i reached there there is no one in the room, after a long waiting period i called them from nearby nurse allotted in other room then they came back and said the sample was not tested, i am like what did you do then till now , after a tight conversation with them within 10 mins they gave me the reports writing the results on OP slip , i am sure that the reports are not genuine, though they took urine sample they didn't gave us urine test reports, if this is the condition of the hospital staff what it would be in the case of emergency !! After collecting reports, when we approached the doctor in room no. 3 (not about to tell the name) we cant even a imagine a doctor with that much arrogance, when we entered the room he is in a funny conversation with the fellow assistant watching mobile, we asked him "can we enter in to the room" Even though he is out of work he arrongantly replied and made us to wait for 1 hour outside. I think it may nearly take 10mins for him to see the reports and give us remarks but he didn't give a damn to the patients waiting for him outside. Our whole day was consumed from morning 8:30 to evening on moving from room to room . This is the reason why govt hospitals are heading back in our country
Very negligence response from casual ward , I never expected for emergency medical needs
The OP dressing room and the patient cots, the ambience, walls, roof etc are worst and dangerous. However, some of the staff attending the casualities are very hard working, friendly
I am sharing an worst experience and I am giving bad feedback about this hospital why I am giving management always says lie to patients as well treatment ... recently my family patient suffered from hand enjury for that reason our local hospital suggested to surgery due to that went maharaja hospital but we didn't get any treatment ,they told us nothing was happened nd given some medicines.we came back to home with medicines then after few days injury spot getting swelling due that reason we went again one private hospital for good treatment still taking treatment here ...so my best advice to all please when going any hospital please be aware of that
