Maharaja Bhog - Kalbadevi - Featured Reviews (815)
Great Rajasthani /Gujarati food combined in Thali. Location: May be little difficult to find out. But the huge board outside helps. Located on first floor. Hence accessibility may be an issue. Ambience: Rich ambience with all waiters wearing turban and traditional dress. And food is served in copper utensils. Food: Kesar Sarbat served as appetiser is one of its kind. The waiters are very kind and would insist to taste almost all varieties of dishes. I personally didnt want a paneer dish to be added in a traditional Gujarathi/Rajasthani Thali. But one of the dish was paneer malai methi mutter. Khichdi and Kadhi is mind boggling combination. Bhakri with white butter (makhan) & Gud (jaggery) is definitely worth trying. Parking [P]: forget it, as the place is located in Kalbadevi area. Look for a near by pay and park, at Crawford market/ Bombay hospital. / are accepted.

I had a rather disappointing experience at Maharaja Bhog in Kalbadevi. Firstly, the location in an old building on the first floor without a lift is highly inconvenient, especially for senior citizens. Now, let's talk about the food. It's shockingly expensive at Rs 749 per person. However, the real issue is the quality. The food seems to be loaded with soda, leaving you feeling bloated even after a small meal. These uncomfortable aftereffects linger throughout the day. It's my opinion that the management should prioritize the quality of their dishes over a grand welcome and tableside washing facilities. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to any thali lover, given my experience.
My experience at Maharaja Bhog restaurant in Kalbadevi was incredibly disappointing. From the start, it was evident that this was not going to be a pleasant dining experience. We had booked a reservation for 25 guests over the phone and were promised a thali for Rs. 650/- including taxes. However, upon visiting the restaurant, we were shocked to find that it was located on the 1st floor of an old building, with an entrance hidden behind another building and uneven steps that were extremely difficult for senior citizens to navigate, especially since there was no lift available. To make matters worse, water was dripping right at the entrance door of the restaurant, which was not only unappealing but also hazardous. When we inquired about the promised price, the manager displayed a shocking level of rudeness and refused to honor the price that had been confirmed over the phone. We even explained that we had already called to fix the price, but he showed no interest in rectifying the situation. Overall, my experience at Maharaja Bhog was marred by poor accessibility, a lack of transparency regarding pricing, and a manager who was unprofessional and dismissive. I would strongly advise against dining at this establishment, as the negative aspects far outweigh any potential positives.
If you are looking for a vegetarian meal that is both satisfying and delicious, look no further than Maharaja Bhog's veg thali. And the best time to visit is now. They currently have the 'AAMRAS KA TYOHAAR' in which they serve aamras till your heart content! One of the best things about a veg thali is the cultural experience it offers. Sitting down to a thali is not just about enjoying a delicious meal, but also about experiencing the rich and diverse culture of India. From the vibrant colors of the dishes to the aromatic spices used in their preparation, every aspect of a thali is a celebration of India's rich culinary heritage. And what better place to visit than Maharja Bhog Thankyou Founder and Managing Director Ashish Maheshwari @teamashishmaheshwari for hosting and inviting us to enjoy this royal meal
Recently visited Maharaja Bhog - Kalbadevi, service was top notch with all staff being most courteous and attentive. Maharaja Bhog is truly a paradise for all Vegetarians. Maharaja Bhog Thali is fully packed with Gujarati and Rajasthani food. The idea is to simply sit back as the service keeps pouring in authentic delicacies and feasts. Their vegetarian premium Thali includes a Welcome Drink, three appetisers, four types of vegetables, types of dals, three types of Indian bread, two types of rice, two desserts and Chaas. Everything here is completely unlimited, the serves keep on insisting on repeating the food items. They even have an option for taking away which is neatly & spill-proof packed with all of the food items with desserts. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality of food and the quantity of food they serve. On weekdays, it's Rs.599/- and on weekends it's Rs.734/- It was truly worth visiting Maharaja Bhog. With good food and good hospitality, this place is complete must recommend!
This place is a paradise for all vegetarians as they serve lot more options. The menu changes everyday. At the beginning they serve you buttermilk & some chandan kesar drink which was too good. Later on the salad, pickle, papad is served. Along with starters they also have kachori & dhokla which is gujrati speciality. In main course they serve you 4 different types of sabzis, 2 types of kadhi that is rajasthani & gujrati kadhi with 2 types of dal. Later on they serve you thepla, roti with ghee. In rice they serve you dal khichdi which is a kust try here, i would highly recommend. Along with it they serve you tomato rice. The desserts menu changes everyday, we had moong dal ka halwa & kheer which was the best. They also take orders via zomato & swiggy.
If you are looking for Royal Rajasthani food or Thali in Mumbai, then Maharaja Bhog must be your first priority. Their Premium Veg Thali are really awesome and full of sweet and other ingredients. They serves more than 18 kinds of food items in single premium Veg thali which starts from only 525 Rs. and they have special offer on Tuesday, in which they provide premium Veg thali only at Rs.399 I recently visited their outlet which is located in Kalbadevi. The outlet has very soothing Ambience and very comfortable seating arrangements. Ambience is inspired from interior of royal rajsthani mehel (forts). I had visited this place with my father. He also loved everything in this place and the best thing he liked along with the food is their staff service, way of welcoming customers and hospitality . They did our welcome with the pleasant namaste and welcome drink which chilled and refreshing. In the premium Veg thali we had 4 kinds of sabji, chaat items, sweets, puran poli and other roti, plain rice, khichdi and pulao. Each item had the authentic taste. Also they served ghee on roti and puran poli which was really good. I would really appreciate all the efforts taken by their staff and would like to thank their founder Ashish Maheshwari sir for inviting us on such lovely place. Must visit place for veg food lovers and Rajasthani food lovers. #HappyDining
