Mahamrityunjay Dwar - Historical landmark in Ujjain, Jiwankhedi - Ujjain, India

It is an entry point while going to Mahakaleshwar temple or the old city and it is surrounded by many small local stores which provide things required for Pooja, Tea-snacks, etc. Mahamrityunjay Gate is also known as Lal gate because it is made of red rocks, It looks beautiful and amazing while we are entering into "the City of Mahakal" it is situated in the entrance of Ujjain city from the Indore side. There are two ways to go in the city Gate side main road which is the left side road is way to Shree Mahakaleshwar Mandir, Old Ujjain City, Ujjain Railway Station and Dewas Gate Bus stand and the right side road is way to enter the city to main and New Ujjain City like Clock tower Square, freegunj, Nanakheda Bus Stand and market area. Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is situated at a distance of 4.7kms from the gate.
