I guess i can give a good review about this place. I spent enough time to know and move around. I explored this crazily good place and loved the stay. It felt like living in royalty. All far from city lengths in a cool, peaceful location, this place had a really comfy stay. The food was really good and the staff very humble. Staying here felt like living in the old times. Best time to spend here is while sitting and having a drink under the clear summer sky right in the centre of the building.

Finally we had our opportunity for a longer 3 night stay at Mahal khas & wished we had booked more! Like many people our first stay was only one night on our way from Jaipur to Agra. We loved our one night three years ago so much we had always wanted to return to this little slice of heaven. This family owned & run hotel is a tranquil oasis of pretty garden, relaxing varandahs, the evening chai wala and a eye catching city view from the palace. The rooms are large with lovely high ceilings, they are very comfortable & have everything you need. All meals are delicious & are served in the main dining room & we relish evening tea sitting outside in the pretty garden. As the property is in the middle of fort and the fort is on the edge of local market it's easy to walk into the fort & market as well & explore. There are ample of monuments & temples in fort & market. The staff are warm & attentive. I cannot recommend this warm hearted gem highly enough ... do go for more than one night ... you won't regret it! We will be back we hope!

Nice and kinda of heritage hotel to stay in birds paradise Bharatpur. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Hospitality is good. Staff is very professional courteous and friendly. Sufficient parking space is available. Location is also near to the city centre and all main tourist attractions of the city. Restaurant serves good food and also a bar is available. Well recommended for family outing, even for a business trip.

I went for a family weekend. Location- In the centre of the city. Check-in- it was swift accompanied with a welcome drink. Room amenities- If I consider the tarrif being charged the room was just about ok. - no Refrigerator in the room. - AC was not working at the time of check-in and took about an hour to get it functional. - Intercom non - functional (even on multiple complaints). Have to climb down or search or scream to get anything. - Cable TV was non - functional at the check in and it was managed after about 4-5 hrs. Once this was done then after sometime there was a load shedding,and the Cable TV again switched off. They don't have satellite connection like Tata sky or dish TV etc and manage by local cable TV wch gets switched off once there is a power cut. -TV itself was of old box type. - No Tea/Coffee maker in the room. -No Fan connection to inverter. At the time of power cut the fan went non-operational. -cleanliness was good, both in the room and in the entire hotel. Food- Very expensive compared to the taste and amount of food delivered. Non veg was ordered for lunch and the taste was a huge disappointment. So we went for a plain dal and chawal for dinner wch was better. Breakfast was good though. It was not a continental buffet lay out rather they served on the table , but it was better than most of the things in the hotel. Garden- Only one small garden at the entrance. Check out- it was smooth.

After a nice trip through Keoladeo National park, we were looking for a place for lunch. Saw Mahalkhas Palace Restaurant on map and decided to give it a try. Finding the place took a bit longer. Once you enter Lohagarh fort, entry to this place is inside one of the by-lanes. Although it was well marked but since main gate was closed with no one in sight so it took longer. Once inside we were warmly greeted by the staff who were courteous and prompt in their service. We sat in the verandah inside the old palace. Food was excellent and we had a good time. Thanks to the staff for their hospitality. This place has rooms to stay as well and we could see people arriving and relaxing in the open court. Note - do not expect a shinning palace when you visit as it is not best kept from outside but has great staff and nice feel about it.

Staff was very nice, some did'nt speak much english. Rooms were quite good, bed was a bit on the hard side. During winter months rooms can get quite cold, even though there was a loud heater. Food was nice. We were only quests at the hotel during our stay and they still had local band playing at dinner! I would recommend this place.
