Mahakal Lok corridor built right next to Mahakaleshwar temple offers you different avatars of Lord Shiva. Lots of statues of Shiva are installed along the corridor which is around 1km in length. You can visit Bharat mata mandir, the fountain, and other intrinsic art work along the route. I recommend to vosot this place during 6 to 7 pm so that you can see it in both sun light and artificial lights. It is mesmerizing. People throng to take pictures and make videos. There is a lot to learn about Shiva's life and history. Must visit.
Best time to visit mahakal mandir is Tuesday to Friday. There is too much crowded on weekends and specially on manday. There is a walk way of atleast 1 km in zig zag format. Warning- Camera, phones and drones are not allowed inside the temple. The mandir committee will take action if they found any kind of the camera or phone .
During my recent trip to Ujjain, I had the opportunity to visit the revered Mahalok Corridor, and it was truly an awe-inspiring experience. As I walked through the corridor, I was captivated by the spiritual beauty that surrounded me, and I could feel a sense of tranquility enveloping my soul. The Mahalok Corridor is a long stretch of pathway lined with intricate carvings and sculptures, depicting various mythological stories and deities from Hindu mythology. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the carvings were truly remarkable, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India. Each carving had a story to tell, and I was fascinated by the intricate symbolism and mythology depicted in the artwork. As I strolled along the corridor, I was mesmerized by the serene ambience and the positive energy that filled the air. Devotees and pilgrims were offering prayers, lighting incense sticks, and performing rituals, creating a spiritual atmosphere that was both reverential and uplifting. The rhythmic chants of mantras and the sound of bells added to the aura of divinity, creating a sense of peace and harmony within me. One of the highlights of my visit was the grandiose Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (sacred abodes of Lord Shiva) in India, located within the Mahalok Corridor. The temple was a magnificent structure with intricate carvings and adorned with ornate decorations. The divine energy and aura inside the temple were palpable, and I was overwhelmed by the spiritual significance of the place. The Mahalok Corridor also offers stunning views of the sacred Shipra River and the surrounding landscape, adding to the natural beauty of the place. The river glistened in the sunlight, and I was able to witness the rituals and ceremonies being performed on its banks, further enhancing my spiritual experience. The facilities at Mahalok Corridor were well-maintained, with clean pathways and amenities for visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing information about the significance of the place and answering my queries with patience. In conclusion, my visit to Mahalok Corridor in Ujjain was a profound and spiritually uplifting experience. The intricate carvings, the serene ambience, and the divine energy of the place left an indelible mark on my soul. I would highly recommend this sacred destination to anyone seeking a spiritual journey or a deeper connection with Hindu mythology and culture. It is a must-visit place for pilgrims, history buffs, and those seeking solace in spirituality

Mahakal Maharaj Mandir Parisar Vistar Yojna is a plan for the expansion, beautification, and decongestion of the Mahakaleshwar temple and its adjoining area in Ujjain district. Under the plan, the Mahakaleshwar temple premises of around 2.82 hectares is being increased to 47 hectares, which will be developed in two phases by the Ujjain district administration. This will include the 17 hectares of Rudrasagar lake. The project is expected to increase annual footfall in the city from the current 1.50 crore to nearly three crores
