This new building of the Church is now almost 90 years old, having been consecrated in 1937, and whose construction began in 1934. A Christian population is believed to have existed here when St Francis Xavier visited this area in the late 16th century. Since almost 500 years, the Feast of Christ the King has been celebrated in Vettucaud. The Church is really beautiful from the inside and the outside with beautifully carved woodwork and stained glass windows. The main hall is huge with high ceilings.
