Madpackers Pushkar - Backpacker Hostel in Pushkar - Ajmer, India

One of the best places I stayed during our pilgrimage through India. The breathtaking views from the rooftop were the perfect place to read your book in the morning and the staff, Dipesh & Shehker in particular, helped to cultivate such a relaxing and comfortable space that the only downside was the fact we eventually had to leave. Cannot recommend enough as a place for friendly staff and fellow travellers!

Wow, what an amazing experience! The service at this place was just top-notch... if you consider bad service the new "in" thing. The rooms were a delightful combination of dampness, dim lighting, and a complete absence of ventilation. Who needs fresh air anyway? During our stay, we were blessed with a remarkable 16-hour power outage out of the 24 hours we were there. It was a thrilling adventure trying to survive without electricity and AC in the scorching heat. The bathroom was another delightful surprise, with its dimly lit ambiance and superbly designed lack of ventilation. It's truly impressive how they managed to create such an uncomfortable environment. The bidet, oh, the bidet, was an absolute masterpiece of malfunctioning. And don't even get me started on the toilet, it was a work of art--dirty and revolting. And hey, who needs common bathrooms in a hostel? Clearly not this place! And guess what? The kitchen, which they proudly advertise on their website, was closed. It's so refreshing to be surprised with false information. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough... if you're into dampness, darkness, power outages, malfunctioning bidets, unclean toilets, and false advertising. It's an experience you won't forget!

The overall service provided was extremely disappointing. The rooms had a persistent dampness, lacked proper lighting, and had no ventilation whatsoever. It was truly uncomfortable to stay in such conditions. To make matters worse, during our entire 24-hour stay, there was a power outage for a staggering 16 hours, leaving us without electricity and, consequently, without any functioning air conditioning. The bathroom was poorly lit too, exacerbating the unpleasant experience, and the ventilation was practically non-existent. The bidet was out of order, and the toilet was unclean. It was particularly frustrating that there were no common bathrooms available, which should have been a priority considering we were staying in a hostel. Additionally, contrary to what was advertised on their website, their kitchen was closed. All things considered, I cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

It's a really good place for solo travellers. Made some friends for a lifetime. The staff especially Dipesh (property manager) was very supportive. Love the atmosphere and highly recommend it.

A perfect staycation for both solo and group travellers. The hostel has very aesthetic vibe and beautifully designed walls. Their host Dipesh was very helpful and the service was great ! In addition to that the rooftop view was so amazing.

The dorms are good, the area is close to the main market and lake, approx 2kms. The people are humble and helpful. I met shekhar and Dipesh who were so calm and welcoming. It was a great experience and my second stay here! See you soon, Pushkar :)
