Madhumita's homestay is a great place to stop by in Guwahati. The family is really genuine and ready to help. The rooms are very clean. The terrace garden is very well maintained. We had a very pleasant stay !

Had excellent experience in Madhumita's Home Stay. It's a feeling of being at home out of home in true sense. Dutta's are awesome couple. Madhumita is one great cook. Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. Greeneries all around with a small hills across the windows make the total ambience awesome. Best of all is waking up and walking into a mini flower garden.

The search for the perfect homestay in Guwahati ends here! Lovely hosts that ensure you have a homely stay at their place. The 3rd floor room we booked was spotless with most required amenities. Being a stickler for cleanliness we were really impressed with everything, because that's hard to find even in the best of stays. The room opens out to a nice open terrace with a small garden. Watching the birds early morning chirping there adds to the vibe. You can see the attention to detail in the room that offers complete privacy. The hosts live right downstairs for any help. There is parking available for one car inside the compound or roadside parking should be alright too as it's a quiet area tucked inside Jyotinagar. Shall pay a visit soon!

The first thing that impressed us is that Madhumita personally reached out to us on Whatsapp to confirm our stay and send the location. Once we reached, the next thing we really liked was the decor. The staircase leading to the room was decorated with souvenirs from all over. Some of the decor was made from recycled items too! Our room was on the top floor (there are rooms on lower floors too). The first thing we see is this tiny beautiful terrace garden. So green and filled with pretty flowers. The entrance to the room is through a quaint wood panelled door, and the room itself is very spacious. There is a clean and well equipped bathroom adjoining it, as well as a kitchen area which can be used at a nominal charge. Just outside there is a sort of verandah area equipped with really pretty furniture. It's an absolute pleasure to sit there and look out at the roof garden. Most of all, it was Madhumita's hospitality we enjoyed the best. Her home-cooked food was exquisite and she served it while we swapped stories about our travel experiences. I thought I would never say this about a homestay, but it really felt like us visiting a relative's place with the only difference that we paid. The facilities were really excellent as well overall. There is even a garage in the building where we can park our car/bike. This is the perfect place to stay in Guwahati, and yes we are definitely coming back again.

This is a lovely & very peaceful place to live The top floor room is just awesome!! You will find your own seperate place with a small garden in the terrace. Room is also spacious with all amenities even a small refrigerator. The whole house is decorated very very very beautifully!! Their hospitality is just mind blowing. Food also very tasty. This is a place what you can choose blindly if available.

This is a warm and lovely setup by two very kind and hospitable people. I took my parents there for two nights and they could not have been happier about it. I have endless reasons to suggest you to staying here; starting from the location to the decor to the positive energy to the smiling faces of the hosts. The Assamese people have a warmth in their personalities and are so grounded. And it is beautifully reflected in both the hosts. My heartfelt gratitude to the effort they make to feel everyone home.

A peaceful abode in the city to make your experience top notch. Rarely have I met such warm hosts, they take care of you in every way possible. The food served is superb & they have a diverse menu! The rooms are charming and clean. They have other amenities such as wifi as well. The terrace at the third level is lovely too. You are never away from home at Madhumita's Homestay. It is truly a hallmark of Assamese hospitality. Would highly recommend!
