Madhav Sagar - Historical landmark in Sikar - Sikar, India

A pond , called Madav Sagar or Bada Taalab, is located in city. This was built during famine days by then King Madav. Concrete steps goes to the middle of pond. Pond size is good, but water is very less. The maintenance of pond and attached garden needs improvement and regular cleaning. If properly cleaned and filled with water, it can be a good tourist attraction. Lots of people disperse deity of Lord Ganesha in the pond after worship.

It's a good park and centre attraction of city but one side of park is not very clean. There are two parks one is clean and one is very dirty.

The Madho Niwas Kothi was constructed by Madhav Singh in the Sikar City. He also constructed the famous Victoria Diamonds Jubilee Hall and Madhav Sagar Talab. The walls of the kothi are decorated with golden paintings.

I pity My fellow locals. We have some wonderful sites, not looked after properly by Govt authorities. They are in poor, bad condition. This ancient step pond is one of them. Used to be the prominent source of water for town some day. Now in dirty shape. Still one can see the ancient methods of preserving water.

Great place to see the image of ancient creation which we can't do these days. It reminds me of King Madhav Singh that how good he was to spread prosperity in his time. This place is truly the best place to Mediatate ,do Yoga ,play , do excercises, etc. Near Madhav Sagar Kund , few elderly doctors give their free service in the morning to cure health related issues by yoga, pranayam and excercises. Overall this place is a combination of devotion , ancient valour and prosperity.

Yes...its really a very nice place for couples and students......here we can enjoy alot of.....n also its very better place for photography..

A good Park for a small city Like Sikar, the park has a Pond of pre Medival Period Constructed by then king of Sikar which is named as Madhav Sagar or Chota Talab

Ever green... Here also YOGA & predition guru... Gym full free but only open 4am to 8 am .. Its nice palace i like it ...
