Madgaon Junction - Train station in Margao - South Goa, India

I felt like I was arrived at some airport very nice maintain and constructed.. Station has huge number of people still cleans at it best. Just because of good people around. And nature vibes . People are supporting to keep clean.

The biggest and busiest station in Konkan railways. The gateway to Goa. The station now have 6 platforms and some works in platforms were still going on (as on 13/08/2023) Apart from this all facilities like IRCTC executive lounge, retiring rooms, waiting rooms, etc. also available. Taxis and autos available outside station. Bike rental people are always present outside the station. Platform allocation of trains were mess as people were waiting in the fob as there is no info of the platforms the trains will be coming until the last minute. Also coach position indicator was showing wrong.

Coach positions are not provided. 1st platform is well kept, but the same cannot be said for the rest of the 5. Information centre is not open early in the morning. This station is the main station for the sate of Goa. Being one of the most sought after tourist destination in India, one would think they would do a better job of maintaining it. Very difficult to navigate if travelling with senior citizens. Disappointed with the overall condition of the station

It's one of the major Railway station in Goa - trains running through Goa stop here. It's located in south-Goa. Margao is one of the main cities in Goa. From here one can take bus-to main bus stand from where you get buses to all cities of Goa. It has refreshment and washroom facilities which are well maintained. Waiting rooms are also available for reservation categories. Charging points are present where one can charge your phones It has a big parking space in front. So you can take your private vehicle to drop or pick up your friends and relatives.
