It was established in the year 1910. Still now they serve wonderful fish items like fish fry, fish chop. Egg devil, mutton chop are also available. You will get few chinese options too.

Madan restaurant is one of the oldest food joints of Serampore. Situated near the Serampore Station. They are famous for their fried items. In the morning they serve rice meals only. We went there in the evening and tried Fish Fry, Chicken Cutlet, Mixed and chicken noodles, Mixed fried rice and Chilli chicken. The food was nice, especially the fried items were too good. Service is also good. The sitting place is small and the place is always rushed. Otherwise this place is good for any evening outing for having snacks.

Old and very renowned restaurant cum tea stall in Serampore Market area.. They are very famous for their delicious and testy preparation of Fish fry, fish finger, chicken / mutton cutlet, fish chop, egg devil and other so many fried snacks. The items prepared here from very fresh and authentic ingredients.. People are so crazy to have these so that all items are generally finished by mid evening only.. it is a must go place for the foodies to have their tongue teasing experience..

I recently dined at a restaurant, and unfortunately, it left me with mixed feelings. While I had heard some positive reviews about this place, my own experience was less than stellar. Firstly, the service was disappointing. It took an unusually long time for our food to arrive, and there was a lack of attentiveness from the staff throughout the meal. Our orders were also not entirely accurate, which was frustrating. The food itself was a letdown. While presentation was decent, the flavors were underwhelming. The dishes lacked the depth and quality I expected from a restaurant in this price range. Portions were also on the smaller side, leaving me feeling unsatisfied. The ambiance was somewhat sterile and lacked the cozy, inviting atmosphere I typically enjoy in a restaurant. It felt more like a rushed, casual dining experience rather than a place to savor a meal. Overall, my visit to this restaurant was underwhelming, and I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. There are certainly better dining options in the area that offer a more satisfying experience for both the palate and the overall dining experience.

Madan is a classic restaurant which is famous for it's fish fry, fish chop, chicken cutlets...They Don't have any fancy decoration although you'll enjoy the atmosphere. Service is exceptionally good. Ordered 1)Fish Chop 2)Chicken cutlet 3)Mixed fried rice 4)Chicken Manchurian Fish chop was average Chicken cutlet was good Mixed fried rice and chicken Manchurian was awesome .rice was more than one man to eat and stuffed full with pieces of prawns ,chicken and egg . Manchurian was good also...it had 12 pieces dipped completely in a juicy spicy gravy with onion leaves
