Mad about Coco - Bed & breakfast in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

We were a group of friends and we had 3 rooms for 3 nights. The staff was very attentive and the rooms were clean. However, there were some small details which could be improved such as adding a mirror in the room, a shower curtain or a tool which allows you to dry the bathroom after having a shower. The internet in the rooms was also not working, so if you're planning to stay here and work remote, it's not your place. We had breakfast included in a lovely place nearby called "Sun Francisco". Breakfast was delicious, it had some Indian as well as western options. Overall the hotel was nice, however; considering other places we stayed, we don't think it's good value for money. They also offer drop-in yoga sessions. However, no teacher dropped-in at the session which was supposed to take place at 08:30. If you're planning to take a yoga session, better confirm with the staff twice before waking up early on purpose for that.

We stayed at Mad about Coco for two nights and had a great experience. Short distance from beach and shops, and had everything we needed. The highlight was the amazing staff that went above and beyond to help us have a fun and relaxing time. Great restaurant and good coffee!

Great stay! Rooms are nothing fancy but has everything basic available which was good enough for me. Best part - A 1 min walk away from the North cliff. Lots of Restaurants near by.

We stayed in hotel on 22nd of june . Staff was very friendly. I forgot to ask the name of Receptionist but very helpful guy, fluent in Hindi , English & Malyalam. He even gave us upgraded room on account of my birthday. Mr. Vinod from Jammu, another staff was very courteous too. Place has laid back vibe which goes with vibe of varkala. But the rooms were absolutley not good. It had damp , even when i got upgraded room. Other than that i loved the locationb, espcially there restaurant which is aprox 100 meters away from hotel but has marvelous sea views. Food was very tasty. Wifi was good. I would visit again.

Check-in was easy. No phoney vibes or attention, but very pleasant, and always willing to help hosts. Maybe due to our stay during off-season. Very few residents, therefore much less life. Sun Francisco had great ambience, more suited for evenings.

Perfectly located between a tiny road and the cliff it is a very nice place with basic but very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is great, very kind, attentive and helpful with everything. Just a few steps away you reach the cliff, bars, and the beach quickly. So nothing to complain about location, room and service. Only negative point: although the dogs are very kind, cute, and friendly it sometimes can get very noisy at night due to barking. Nevertheless, we had a really nice stay.

1.very bad service..no botheration , they won't care recently I was a guest and they only followed up for collection of room rent, 2.Rooms are very bad, no Mirror, doors are not property lock, cleanings are lacking, no power back up, when enquired very rudely they answer. They should understand they run by customers. Reception won't even talk unless u approach them . There us lot if other properties in and around beach where u will get service and very good pricing too.Mad About coco charges highest price , gives wrost facilities abd services.i recommend think before booking with them bcz I suffered by selecting they made us MAD

San Francisco is a cafe on the beachfront on Mad About Coco resort. It has a very nice ambience and I returned there for their coffee which was very tasty. They have wide variety of fresh juices and healthy smoothies (with superfoods such as moringa, wheatgrass, spirulina etc). The service is a bit on the slower side but pleasant.
